These chalkboard pots are the perfect way to display your Easter goodies. Here’s how to make them in a few steps.
1. PREPARE: Always work in a well-ventilated area and cover your surroundings with a drop cloth to protect from overspray. Wipe down the pots with a tack cloth to remove any dirt and dust.
2. PAINT: Shake your can of Rust-Oleum Specialty Chalkboard spray paint for one minute after the mixing ball starts to rattle. Holding the can 12-16” away from the pots, apply several light coats a few minutes apart until they’re thoroughly covered.
3. FINISH: Let the paint cure for at least 24 hours. Then, rub the side of a piece of chalk over the entire chalkboard surface on each pot. This will condition the chalkboard. Wipe away the chalk with a chalkboard eraser or dry cloth. To finish the Easter candy pots, use chalk to decorate them with fun designs, stuff them with candy, and enjoy!
